Helping People!  Changing Lives!

How can you help?

We care about the entire community and are dedicated to helping individuals help themselves and each other.  In Klamath County, our neighbors in need of help count on Community Action and Community Action counts on you.  The support of dedicated friends and committed leaders make hope, help, and change possible for thousands of families every year.

As a volunteer, what can I expect?

An interview will occur after you apply to ensure a successful match between you, the department, and the job.

An orientation is provided that acquaints you with Klamath & Lake Community Action Services policies and procedures.

Training is provided by the department or program.  At that time you will receive a department orientation, workplace safety requirements, department procedures, and supervision to develop necessary job skills.

Recognition is important to KLCAS.  As a KLCAS volunteer you will be thanked for your contribution. Each spring during National Volunteer Week, county volunteers are thanked and recognized.

Evaluation and feedback of the work that you have accomplished and guidance on the expectations of the position will be provided.  As a valued volunteer, you are invited to offer ideas and suggestions that help keep programs and services in touch with the needs of the people of Klamath County.
