KLCAS, Community Partners, and vounteers to host Project Homeless Connect August 14, 2009 Project Homeless Connect's goal is to connect homeless individuals and families in our community with housing, support, and quality of life resources all in one location. On August 14, 2009, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm we will join dozens of community partners and volunteers to host our second Project Homeless Connect event at Veteran’s Park. During this one-day community-wide event, we will ensure homeless individuals have access to a variety of immediate services including employment, medical care, food, haircuts, and much more. Our ultimate goal in joining the National Project Homeless Connect is to raise public awareness, engage government officials in our homeless population, and to add to Oregon’s effort in alleviating homelessness. Homeownership Center, a direct service addition to our agency. What does a Homeownership Center do? Our services include financial fitness education classes, individual counseling, an opportunity to review your personal credit report, and referrals to financial assistance and lending programs. The more you know about the home buying process, the more confident you will be when the time is right for you to purchase. Once you fully understand your current situation, your future plans, and the big picture in terms of homeownership, it's important to look at the pros and cons to make the best decision for you and your family.
