About Us

Family Support & Connections (FS&C) is a direct service program which connects families to resources in our community while providing training and support. Our Family Development Specialists work with the whole family to help them identify their strengths and learn to overcome barriers to becoming self sufficient.

FS&C receives grant funding through the Department of Human Services (DHS).  We adhere to DHS guidelines of background checks and confidentiality, as well as following the standards of Best Practices and Elements of Effective Practice for Mentoring. FS&C has also received a grant through the Oregon Community Foundation which has allowed us to expand our mentoring component.

Family Support and Connections Family Mentoring Program provides volunteer mentors with a family to be a positive role model and to provide support as the family discovers its own strengths and learns to overcome life's challenges.

About Our Volunteer Mentor Program

Volunteering benefits families: Families receive emotional support from their volunteer mentor as they work toward becoming financially stable.
